10 Things I Want to See in Week 18

With the Kansas City Chiefs’ playing for nothing this upcoming Sunday, here are ten things to keep an eye out for when they do take the field of the Denver Broncos. Some things are about the future performance in the playoffs, others are players shaking rust off, and some are about just having nice storylines of players getting paid.

  1. No Injuries

Self explanatory item. The Chiefs are going to keep the majority of their most important starters out of this game but plenty will still play. Beyond that, important role players and back-ups will be playing. The Chiefs have had quite the injury bug this year but they could use for that luck to come around this week.

  1. Steven Nelson Reps on Defense

The Chiefs CB opposite of Trent McDuffie has struggled quite a bit since the Jaylen Watson went down with injury. Nazeeh Johnson and Joshua Williams have played better in the past few weeks but this is the perfect game to get an idea what the Chiefs’ plans will be with Steven Nelson come playoff time.

  1. Charles Omenihu’s Legs Continue to Return

Charles Omenihu has been solid since he has come back but his impactful plays have come in spurts. The high end flashes still exist but they’re coming few and far in between as he returns from injury. Having a series or quarter of this game that he imposes his will would be a big boost to his confidence going in to the playoffs.
