A season ends in silence
The Chiefs' nightmare season ended in a torn ACL and an empty January.
I don’t know what to write about today. Too much happened on Sunday. Too much didn’t happen.
Let’s recap: The Chiefs offense was, again, horrendous.
The Chiefs jumped out to a 10 point lead!
The Chiefs special teams was bad again, and gave up a big return before half that put the Chargers in great position to close the point gap to just three points.
The Chiefs failed to score a single point in the second half of the game and lost by three.
The Chiefs were twice inside of field goal range in the second half, and both drives ended in an interception.
The Chiefs were officially eliminated from the playoffs.
The Chiefs failed to reach the AFC Championship game for the first time since starting Patrick Mahomes.
Oh, I almost forgot! Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL on the final drive of the game, ending his season.
