You're missing a big point . We have a really good kicker who is getting some good distance and hang time when he's not pinning them. I gotta feel that factors into it as well. I would think only 3 losses also show he's doing well.

Appreciate the response! I don't think this is the case, though. We had Tommy in 2020 and 2021, too, and were significantly more aggressive. Townsend is averaging +2 yards per punt better than 2021, so that's good, but is 2 yards worth not going for it on 4th down with the best offense in the NFL? His % of punts kept inside the 20 is down from 54% in 2021 to 41% this year, so that's not good. As for losses, we only had 4 losses in 2019 when he went all in on 4th down play calls. One of those was a game Pat missed. 2 losses in 2020 and 5 in 2021 when he was also significantly above average.
