As we continue to work through Kansas City’s 2022 draft haul, it’s time to look at who appears to be the Chiefs’ favorite player.

Now, you may saying, “But, Matt, you guys have talked about their first pick they traded up for in Trent McDuffie, the defensive end that Steve Spagnuolo seems downright giddy about in George Karlaftis, and every media scout’s favorite pick in Skyy Moore.”

And you’d be correct, but that’s not to whom I’m referring.

Bryan Cook, the safety out of Cincinnati taken at pick 62, is going to be the focus of this film breakdown, and while we don't know for sure he's the favorite player from this draft class, we do know that when you listen and watch Kansas City GM Brett Veach or head coach Andy Reid talk about Cook, they beam from start to finish.

Veach and Reid consistently bring up Cook’s football intelligence, his character on and off the field, his special-teams play, and his effort — meaning he seemed to have checked all the Pre-Draft Interview and Character boxes.

Which leaves us with the film, the final item of study to see what Cook can bring to the Chiefs in 2022 and beyond.
