Mile High Aspirations: Can Bo Nix and the Broncos sustain their playoff momentum?
This week we wrap up our AFC West divisional rivals offseason previews with the Denver Broncos. After years of bouncing from one QB to another, from Trevor Siemian to Brock Osweiler to Drew Lock to Kendall Hinton to the ghost of Russell Wilson, they finally drafted a QB in Bo Nix who played well enough in his rookie season to give them legitimate hope they have found their franchise quarterback.
The Broncos had a very successful 2024 season. Head coach Sean Payton had been with the team for a year already, but his 2023 season had been somewhat tumultuous, with a rocky relationship with Russell Wilson. In 2024, they drafted a rookie QB, Bo Nix, who led them to a 10-7 regular season record, leading to their first playoff appearance since the 2015 season, when Peyton Manning won his second Super Bowl. Vegas had set their win total at 5.5 wins, so they blew that out of the water.
