Chiefs agree to 2-year deal with CB Kristian Fulton: reports
Fulton bolsters defensive back depth
Kansas City on Tuesday added to the defensive secondary.
The Chiefs and cornerback Kristian Fulton agreed to a two-year, $20 million deal with $15 million guaranteed, according to multiple reports.
Fulton, who measures 5-foot-11 and 197 pounds, bolsters depth at the cornerback position and projects to compete for the No. 2 spot opposite Trent McDuffie.
The 26-year-old Fulton, who possesses 4.46 speed in the 40-yard dash, entered the NFL in 2020 as a second-round pick out of LSU with the Tennessee Titans. He spent four seasons in Tennessee before joining the Los Angeles Chargers last season.
Fulton has appeared in 57 career games with 52 starts, totaling 201 tackles (155 solo), five interceptions and 32 passes defensed.
Of note, Fulton’s lone interception in 2024 came against the Chiefs in Week 4.
In addition to watching Fulton with the Chargers, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach and his staff should know the cornerback well based on past history. The Chiefs hosted Fulton on a formal interview at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine.
