When the AFC Championship game was set for Patriots vs Broncos. Either the hated division rival Denver Broncos were going to make it to the Super Bowl, or the New England Patriots would. Obviously, there was no way on this beautiful earth that I would ever root for good things to happen to the Broncos, so I controlled my gag reflex and pulled for the Patriots instead.

New quarterback, new coach, new staff, new players, right? It can’t be as bad as the Brady/Belichick years. Then again, is this world ready for another Patriots dynasty, this time led by Drake May and Mike Vrabel? This Super Bowl appearance better be a one-and-done situation. I do not think I can handle them being this good again this soon.

All that to say, it is a dark, dark timeline when the Chiefs are not playing in the playoffs.
