Chiefs react to losing Omarr Norman-Lott for the rest of the season
Norman-Lott landed on injured reserve after suffering an ACL injury
The Chiefs had plans for defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott when he joined the team as a second-round pick during the 2025 NFL Draft.
Norman-Lott, however, suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Week 7, resulting in the Chiefs placing him on injured reserve.
The rookie’s absence leaves a hole within the interior of the defensive line, and his injury left a feeling of dismay.
“I was really disappointed to lose Omarr,” defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo said Friday. “I mean, it was kind of an up-and-down year for him in terms of being healthy, right?
“He lost a lot of time in training camp, and then he didn’t play in the first game. Then, he kind of came along and he dinged something on a Friday practice – shoulder – a couple of weeks ago. He finally gets back, and then he has this happen.”
