Chiefs WR Jason Brownlee hopes to continue proving he belongs in the NFL
Brownlee took advantage of training camp en route to making initial 53-player roster
Wide receiver Jason Brownlee’s path to the Chiefs’ initial 53-player roster looked challenging on paper when he signed a reserve/future contract in February 2025.
The team’s offseason roster was loaded at the position group, after all, but Brownlee allowed his skillset to do the talking for him.
The approach paid off because the Chiefs chose to keep him among the eight wide receivers on the roster during last week’s roster trimming.
Brownlee expressed gratitude for the Chiefs believing in him.
“I was just excited for the opportunity and to continue to, like, get better,” Brownlee told KC Sports Network on Monday. “And continue to just prove that I belong in the league and continue to work my way up.”
