Five big changes the Chiefs must make to avoid another 2025 disaster
It took a 6-7 start and to likely miss the playoffs for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era to truly put what has happened in his illustrious career into perspective. It is so easy to enjoy the good and claim not to take it for granted when the team is having success. And they’ve had A LOT of success.
A dismal season that has seen so many ups and downs is the only thing that can really ground Chiefs fans into the reality of what’s on the other side. Even pointing to seasons like 2012 doesn’t really do justice, because fans have witnessed the team do things beyond their wildest imaginations.
There is still anger and blame to go around. This team is severely flawed. They don’t appear to have the top-end talent needed to compete for a title. There are serious questions about coaching and personnel (both players and staff) that will need to be addressed in the offseason to avoid what has happened this season.
