Tomorrow is a massive day for the next act of the Patrick Mahomes era. The Chiefs are loaded with draft capital to improve their roster in a crucial draft.

GM Brett Veach is notorious for his desire to maneuver the board to secure players he covets the most. And with so many draft picks at his disposal, it seems likely he will be making calls to find ways to acquire his targets.

The KCSN Draft Guide is available for pre-order! A Chiefs-specific book with detailed analysis, profiles of hundreds of prospects, player comps, a Chiefs draft pick trade chart, scheme fit analysis, and more! The book release April 6th!

There are a variety of trade charts that teams use to negotiate what a fair value is. The Rich Hill Trade Model uses historical results of NFL trades to determine what the reality of trades has looked like.

I took a look at five trades that the Chiefs could make with the “Draft Math” provided by the Rich Hill model, and provided potential targets for the Chiefs at all those positions.

Trade up to 3

The Trade: Chiefs trade 9, 40, and 148 to the Cardinals for 3 and 104

Fair value of a bold move up like this would start with the Chiefs giving up their original first and second round picks, with some day three pick movement evening it out.

Potential Target: Ohio State LB Arvell Reese. If the Chiefs are going up this high, it’s most likely for a big, bold swing on Reese. He is one of the youngest prospects in the entire class and flashed plus ability as a rusher without any experience practicing as a pass rusher. He has tremendous tape as an off-ball linebacker to fall back on if he can’t put it all together rushing the passer.

Trade up to 6

The Trade: Chiefs trade 9, 74 to Browns for 6
