Here's why Chiefs-Bills offer unique AFC powerhouse showdown
Teams have split the last 10 games, including postseason
One of the NFL’s most-anticipated games in Week 9 features two foes familiar with each other.
The Chiefs (5-3) square off in yet another heavyweight clash against the Buffalo Bills (5-2) in Week 9 action at Highmark Stadium.
This matchup tends to carry significance when looking back over the past 10 matchups, including the postseason, where the Chiefs and Bills have split the outcomes at 5-5.
And the game boasts two of the NFL’s top offenses, each anchored by quarterback star power with two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes and reigning league MVP Josh Allen.
“Obviously, they got – like our quarterback – one of the elites,” defensive end George Karlaftis told KC Sports Network. “One of those guys that can do everything and he’s lethal with his feet, can make all the throws, plus they have an explosive offense.
“They keep you guessing. They got a great O-line, receivers, the (running) back is amazing. They’re just one of those teams that at the beginning of the year, you’re probably looking at the calendar and, all right, I got to bring my big boy pads for this week or it’s going to be one of those games.”
