Forcing turnovers in the NFL can happen in a number of ways. You may stumble into an errant throw, be in the right place at the right time, undercut a route, or lay a giant hit that causes a fumble. All of those are equally valuable and satisfying for a defense.

However, setting up a turnover through schematic adjustments and proper execution is arguably the most satisfying way to turn the tide against an opposing offense. That is precisely what the Kansas City Chiefs defense was able to do in their week 4 matchup against the New York Jets – even if it didn't seem that way on the surface.
