The Chiefs sat on their couches and watched football this week, after earning a bye week through the first round of the playoffs. Well, I say the Chiefs sat on their couches. Some of the players had some interesting interactions with fans this weekend, as the blizzard caused issues for people.
Jaylen Watson, recovering from a broken ankle and hoping to play this postseason, went to social media looking for a snow shovel. Larry (@huwokchu) told him in no uncertain terms that he was absolutely not to stress that ankle in the snow, and that he would be by to shovel his driveway for him. Watson hooked him up with a signed jersey for his trouble.
Another fan apparently got stuck in the snow, and the dynamic duo of Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith pushed them out. These two do not skip leg day at the gym!
If you, like most of the Chiefs, watched football all weekend, you know that every game other than the Commanders vs Bucs game (23-20 Commanders) was a blowout. The Chargers lost to the Texans 12-32. The Broncos lost to the Bills 7-31. The Eagles only beat the Packers by 12 points (22-10), and that was the second closest game of the weekend. Just an ugly week of football if you were hoping to watch exciting games.
