Kansas Basketball Dominates Baylor in Convincing Home Win
Jayhawks Bounce Back with a Dominant Win — Peterson and Bedunka Lead the Charge at Allen Fieldhouse
Kansas bounced back in a big way with an 80-62 win over Baylor at Allen Fieldhouse, reclaiming momentum in Big 12 play.
The Jayhawks jumped out fast, forcing an early timeout from Scott Drew, and after a brief Baylor lead late in the first half, KU responded with a dominant 21-3 run to close the half and open the second. From there, the Jayhawks never looked back.
Darren Peterson led the way with 26 points in just 23 minutes, showing explosive athleticism and smooth execution, while Floyd “Flory” Bedunka posted a double-double with 11 rebounds and five blocks, controlling the paint on both ends. Bryson Tiller and El Marco Jackson added key contributions, keeping KU’s offense balanced and dynamic.
Kansas’ success came from disciplined execution, smart ball movement, and getting the ball to its top playmakers at the right moments. Baylor struggled to find consistent scoring beyond Carr and Yesu, allowing KU to dominate on both ends of the floor.
With this win, Kansas proves it’s back in Big 12 contention — efficient, aggressive, and ready to build on this momentum as the conference season heats up.
