KCSNU Kickoff - College Footballs Most Interesting Games of Week 4
A rundown of the best College Football games to watch today!
Week 3 of KCSNU Kickoff is here and we are finally getting to a consistent drip of conference play. The CFB season is one game away from being a fourth of the way over. It seems so early in the year to be the case but that is what we face here as everyone is kicking off conference play.. the best part of College Football.
Pretenders are separated from contenders, good stories can continue to great stories or trail off quickly, and NFL Draft Prospects begin to build out their legacy games. There is nothing quite like an inter-conference rivalry game in CFB and they should litter the next 10 weeks of football.
What to Watch on CFB’s Week 2
Local Games
Kansas State vs Oklahoma
Time: 8:00PM EST | Location: Norman, OK | TV Station: Fox
Prospect To Watch: Marvin Mims | OU | WR | #17

Marvin Mims has been a staple of the Oklahoma offense over the last two seasons, leading the team in receiving yards both years. Known for his speed and ability to take the top off of defenses, the undersized Mims also does a great job tracking the ball and competing at the catch point. Most often utilized out of the slot as a vertical threat, Mims is using 2022 to showcase a complete WR package from his 180lb frame.
Missouri vs Auburn
Time: 12:00PM EST | Location: Auburn, AL | TV Station: ESPN
Prospect To Watch: Derick Hall | Aub | DE | #29
Derick Hall is the most productive member of a very impressive Auburn front 7 that struggled to get much going vs Penn State a week ago. Coming home off that embarrassing loss, one should expect their top edge player to come out with a chip on his shoulder and bring his best. Across from him will be Javon Foster - at times - who held his own vs Felix Anudike-Uzomah earlier this season.
Duke vs Kansas
Time: 12:00PM EST | Location: Lawrence, KS| TV Station: Fox Sports 1
Prospect To Watch: Jereme Robinson | KU | DE | #90

Jereme Robinson is the lesser known Kansas starting edge defender but he’s a name worth keeping an eye on. His most likely path is returning to school and coming out in the 2024 draft class but there is a path for him to have a great season and bet on his athletic traits at the NFL level. His best reps look exactly how you want them to from an explosion, bend, and hand usage standpoint but it’s the inconsistency and speed at which all of those thing comes together that he is still putting together.
Saturday Schedule
Clemson vs Wake Forest
Time: 12:00PM EST | Location: Winston Salem, NC| TV Station: ABC
Prospect To Watch: Myles Murphy | Clem| DE | #98
The back to back sack leader for the Clemson Tigers is looking to make it three in a row in 2022. Myles Murphy is a big bodied, explosive athlete coming off that edge who’s pass rush arsenal is as good as any non-Bosa DE prospect. His toolbox is deep and he knows how to threaten an OT before pulling out his counter rushes. He may not be the most fluid player - especially laterally - but he has the body type to work through that small setback. His blend of size, speed, and power make his technical prowess that much more dangerous vs an often shaky Wake Forest OL.
Florida vs Tennessee
Time: 3:30PM EST | Location: Knoxville, TN | TV Station: CBS
Prospect To Watch: Darnell Wright | Tenn | OT | #58

Darnell Wright is a large, powerful OT that plays in a system that is tailor made for his skill set. Tennessee doesn’t ask him to execute too many true pass sets which make it difficult to gauge his foot speed but the quick-pass happy attack does allow him to utilize his power routinely. Wright has fantastic grip strength and is quick to snatch a defender to control them or pull them directly into the dirt. He looks to put as many players on the ground as he can whether it’s in the run game or pass game. He’ll have a quality test this week against Brenton Cox Jr. who may have the speed to test Wright up the arc at times, which is the only question mark remaining for him.

Wisconsin vs Ohio State
Time: 7:30PM EST | Location: Columbus, OH | TV Station: ABC
Prospect To Watch: Jaxon Smith-Njigba | OSU | WR |
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a technical route runner that excels at creating separation on short to intermediate routes with his attention to detail. His production and ability to get open speaks for itself but there were some questions centering around his overall speed and ability to play on the outside entering 2022. An early season injury has cost him some playing time so now back and healthy, Smith-Njigba looks to recover any potential draft stock that could have been lost against a feisty Wisconsin secondary led by Jay Shaw (transfer CB from UCLA).
Wildcard Watches
USC vs Oregon State
Time: 9:30PM EST | Location: Corvallis, OR | TV Station: Pac 12 Network
Prospect To Watch: Rejzohn Wright | OST | CB |
Rejzohn Wright (6’2”, 205lbs) is a long, lanky corner that has movement skills that aren’t common for a player of his size. In 2021 he saw plenty of action his way but was able to produce a lot of ball production on the targets with his athleticism and body control at the catch point. Wright has a tendency to be overly physical downfield and will have to reign it in and he’s also staring at a big matchup against USC’s loaded WR room. Jordan Addison is the star of the show but Mario Williams, Tahj Washington, Brendan Rice, and Terrell Bynum all present as potential NFL players.
Arkansas vs Texas A&M
Time: 7:00PM EST | Location: Arlington, TX | TV Station: ESPN
Prospect To Watch: Antonio Johnson | TAMU | DB| #27
Antonio Johnson is an interesting case standing at 6’3”, 200lbs but predominantly playing as a slot defender for the Aggies’ defense. His non-traditional build for that role has some thinking he could transition to safety at the next level but his natural cover skills are there. He has the ability to match smaller receiver’s speed down the field and understands route concepts at a level that he’s able to stay ahead of the receiver throughout their route stem. He has a good matchup with OU transfer Jadon Haselwood who has the size to match Johnson on the field.
