Mock Draft Roundup and Prediction
The latest newsletter from KCSN Sports Data Scientist, Joseph Hefner
The draft is nearly here. After months and months of effort, after so many gallons of blood and ink have spilt, the draft is nearly here. In the next several days, you will stand witness to some of the most insane histrionics known to man. Teams will make bad decisions. Fans will go apoplectic. Teams will make good decisions. Fans will go apoplectic. Teams will draft a running back or tight end in the first round. Fans will cheer and celebrate.
The draft is one of my favorite annual traditions, right up there with Christmas, the end of summer break, and hosting the AFC championship game. All of those are wildly different in nature, yet all are equally incredible events. The draft is excitement and hope, despair and cope, all at once, all across every fanbase and every NFL forum. I love it.
For today, I’ve collected several mock drafts from this past week. Now, a lot of analysts won’t post their final mock draft until Wednesday, because they hate me personally. Or possibly because they want them to include the most up to date information. Nevertheless, I have selected nine different analysts from across the web, and collected their picks into one fabulous graphic for your viewing pleasure.
