Spreadsheet Warriors: Broncos
Losing to the Broncos is awful. Losing to Bo Nix is even worse.
Well, that was not fun. That game was very disappointing. After being destroyed by the Bills before the bye week, the expectation was that the Chiefs would spend the bye week taking a good, hard look at themselves and see what they needed to do to get back to playing winning football. Apparently, that didn’t happen.
Whether it was inaccurate deep throws to wide-open players or incredible, pinpoint-accurate throws on third-and-long that were dropped, the Chiefs offense failed to capitalize again and again. As Josh Brisco pointed out, the Chiefs’ leading receiver in that game was Riley Moss, the Denver Broncos defensive back who got flagged for two big pass interference plays for 40 and 46 yards. He directly gave the Chiefs 86 yards of offense. He was also the player flagged on the pick-six that was called back. Nobody did more for the Chiefs than Riley Moss.
