The Chiefs fell to the Chargers in their opening game in Brazil. It ended up being a close game. A 3rd and 14 defensive stop was all that prevented the offense from coming back onto the field in a bid to score a go-ahead touchdown. Alas, that did not happen, as Herbert rushed for a first down and earned victory formation to run out the clock.

After each game, I will be writing a review of the game from an analytics perspective. I will look at big stats from the game, such as turnovers, points per drive, redzone efficiency, etc. I will look at analytical stats, such as expected points added (EPA), success rate, first down rate, scrambles, etc. I want to be able to dig in a bit into what went right for the Chiefs and what went wrong, regardless of the outcome of the game.
