Spreadsheet Warriors: Cowboys
The Chiefs late down defense got carved up like Thanksgiving turkey.
I don’t like to watch my team play football on the holidays. I don’t like watching football on the holidays at all, to be honest. I know many do, and I respect that. It’s just not something I enjoy. Back before the Mahomes era, the Chiefs would simply never play on Thanksgiving or Christmas, because why would the NFL inflict that upon the masses? But now, it’s becoming a consistent thing.
Playing on the holidays feels like a lose-lose proposition for me as a fan. Either the Chiefs win, which is expected anyway, and I lose time on the holiday I could have spent with my family (kids are too young to care, and my wife isn’t really into football), or they lose, which isn’t something I want to experience on a holiday that I want to enjoy with my family. Plus, it also means I either have to choose between helping with the festivities (cooking, cleaning, corralling children, etc.) or paying attention to the game. Hard to do both at the same time.
