For the second time in three games, the Chiefs have lost to the Eagles. A late goal-line interception on a tipped ball off of Kelce’s hands killed any realistic chance of coming back late, barring spectacular play or a miracle. Instead of it being 17-13 Chiefs, the Eagles took that interception and turned it into a touchdown and a 10-point lead. The Chiefs scored a late touchdown to make it close, but were unable to get the ball back for a chance to complete the comeback.

The Chiefs lost two defensive players early in the game. CB Kristian Fulton left with an ankle injury, and DE Mike Danna left with a hip injury. Danna is a starter, and Fulton is expected to be the #3 CB when healthy, so both get significant playing time. Despite those losses, the Chiefs’ defense looked like the better unit in the Super Bowl rematch.
