The Chiefs took care of business against the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round. It wasn’t a win with style points, but not very many of their now 16 wins have.

The most important things coming out of that game were that the Chiefs were able to knock the rust off after a long break, and that Jaylen Watson was able to play significant snaps after a longer break due to injury.

Yes, the offensive line struggled, they only completed passes to one wide receiver (only four pass catchers in total), and had some struggles against the run, but it doesn’t feel like those are the big storylines. This is a rematch of the two best teams in football, only the party moves to Kansas City soil for the Arrowhead Invitational.

I went back and looked at the first game these two teams played — a tightly contested game that came down to a key fourth and two decision by Bills head coach Sean McDermott that gave the Chiefs their only real regular season loss.

I came away with ten things of note from week eleven’s matchup between the two teams fighting to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
