The Chiefs 2026 NFL Draft Class
Trade-ups, consensus picks, UDFAs, and how they stacked up against consensus boards.
The 2026 NFL draft has come and gone. It did not go the way anyone expected it to go. LB/EDGE Arvell Reese was expected to go 2nd or 3rd overall, and ended up going 5th. RB Jeremiah Love went 3rd, which was not completely unexpected, but it was unexpected that the Cardinals would stay at that spot and draft him rather than take a ransom to move down.
The Chiefs moved up from 9 to 6 in an expected move, but drafted CB Mansoor Delane instead of EDGE Rueben Bain, which was. The Rams drafted QB Ty Simpson at 13th overall, in a year when they are trying to max out for a Super Bowl. Wild decision there. WR Makai Lemon fell all the way to 20th, where the Eagles moved ahead of the Steelers and stole him from them.
The Chiefs went into the draft with nine draft picks and left with seven drafted players. While it did not go the way that many Chiefs fans expected it to go, that does not mean it went badly. In my opinion, this was a pretty good draft overall.
