The Cost of a Penalty

Nick Bosa, when asked about what he sees from the Chiefs offensive line, gave this response. And honestly? I can’t even hate on it. He’s right. The Chiefs have been called for Offensive Holding 30 times over the course of this season. That leads the league (Dallas is next with 26).
We have actually cut down our penalties by quite a bit lately. Through mid-season, we were leading the league. Now, per NFLpenalties, we are 13th overall with 106 penalties called against us (SF is 10th with 110). We have been the beneficiaries of 94 penalties called against our opponents, good for 25th overall (SF at 23rd with 97).
