Three keys to the game for Chiefs against Raiders

The Kansas City Chiefs (6-0) have a real chance to boat race the Las Vegas Raiders (2-5) on Sunday afternoon. Here are three ways they can accomplish that.

While they will not need it much this week, help is on the way. Five-time pro-bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is now a member of the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs and immediately inserted into the wide receiver one category.

Friend of KCSN and Senior Reporter at Underdog Fantasy, James Palmer says the goal is for Hopkins to suit up against the silver and black, even though head coach Andy Reid’s offense is notorious for being hard to learn. Hopkins is open even when he is not open, even at this stage of his career.

He may not be the wide receiver one in the traditional sense like he used to be, but with rookie Xavier Worthy, Justin Watson, Mecole Hardman and Skyy Moore getting all of the snaps last week, Hopkins is easily going to be the most reliable receiver on the field for Patrick Mahomes. A slant-route is a slant-route and a go-route is a go-route, and Hopkins is a technician, so I would not be surprised if he led the Chiefs in receiving Sunday, barring Mahomes hitting Worthy with a deep shot or tight end Travis Kelce turning back the clock.

The Chiefs as configured against the San Francisco 49ers could have blown the door off the Las Vegas Raiders anyway, so it will be a good week for Hopkins to get his feet wet. There are several reasons why this is a dream matchup for Kansas City, so let's dive into the three keys to them dominating one of their oldest divisional rivals.
