Welcome back to the latest issue of KCSN Daily, where we deliver the best Kansas City Chiefs content to your inbox.
Since March 7 the Chiefs have been allowed to host draft-eligible prospects on what is called a top-30 visit. The name is a bit of a misnomer, as these visits simply indicate that you’re one of the 30 allotted players the team can host on a visit.
So far, the Chiefs have six reported visits.
South Carolina CB Cam Smith (More here)
Tennessee OT Darnell Wright (More here)
UNM S Jerrick Reed II (More here)
Stephen F. Austin EDGE BJ Thompson (More here)
Western Kentucky DT Brodric Martin (More here)
Pittsburgh EDGE Deslin Alexandre (More here)
Often times these visits are tools that are used to gather more information and fill in the blanks on some prospects the team is interested in. Last year the Chiefs selected two players that had confirmed top-30 visits (Jaylen Watson & Joshua Williams). The year prior, Nick Bolton was on their pre-draft meeting list. In 2019, they hosted players like Juan Thornhill, Tim Ward and newly-signed Chiefs DL Charles Omenihu.
