The Kansas City Chiefs have drafted well in recent years. Their ability to build the roster around star players with high cap hits is something the NFL has never seen before. Case in point, the Chiefs are the first team in the history if the league to win a Super Bowl with the quarterback taking over 17% of the team's cap space – and they did it TWICE.

However, with all the excellent draft picks that have cemented this team as the greatest in franchise history, there comes the inevitable decision on whether or not to let players test the open market or re-sign them. One such player that is receiving a lot of focus is cornerback L'Jarius Sneed. The Chiefs reported are willing to place the franchise tag on the player, and while they'd prefer to sign him to a long term deal, he has been given permission to seek a trade.

A trade would be a massive disruption in the offseason for this team, granting them players or picks to help rebuild the roster, but losing a blue chip player from Steve Spagnuolo's best Chiefs’ defense. The latter is (potentially) a discussion for a post-trade date, but the former raises a lot more questions – namely, What could the Chiefs get for Sneed?

With that in mind, I took a look at every cornerback trade since the rookie wage scale adjustment to see what the Chiefs might expect to get in return if Sneed truly was to be traded.
