The Chiefs offense has felt very weird this year. This comes as news to absolutely no one who’s watched the team this year. Entire libraries have been written about this already. This is yet another entry into that already massive pile of tomes.

Nevertheless, I dare to believe this look will be different than most you have read. I hope so, anyway. I, at least, found some interesting stats and stories in the data I looked at for this article.

The Kansas City Chiefs have played in 14 games so far. They have won 9 of them, and have the opportunity to clinch the division and a playoff home game by beating the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas morning. That would be a welcome gift in a season that has had some highs and lows already.

With 14 games in the book, I looked at our offensive pass catchers from the first 7 games, and the last 7, to see if anything has changed. And yes. It has.
