Each Friday for the remainder of the offseason, I’ll be asking the KCSN Discord server to weigh in on the latest hot topics surrounding the Chiefs. This week’s question: Which WR will lead the team in receiving yards in 2023 and why?
MVS…more experienced WR who will make a bigger leap in the second year as part of this Offence than the younger guys. - KCfromKC
I think it's Skyy. He's going to get the most opportunities for the WRs by a long shot due to his role. - Brian Anderson
MVS. He will be healthy and get tons of snaps. Probably only like 700-800 yards, though. - Bhiggs_Prince Felix 👑
Skyy Moore. More reliable than KT. Think he’ll take a jump. - Aero
Justyn Ross because we must continue the hype train. CHOO CHOO!!!! - HT101(Owen)
KT, (he has) so much more YAC potential he may not need to stay healthy. - Will Yoder
Rashee “Jerry” Rice because he’s the GOAT. - JulianK 10/10 with Rice
Skyy Moore will lead the WR group in yards due to the “#1” Kadarius Toney not staying healthy and MVS having a few big games here or there but Skyy consistently racking up yards. He might lead the group with something like 800. - TankTheeFrank

Popular Chiefs Passing Concepts: Sideline Flood
The Kansas City Chiefs have long utilized various flood passing concepts under Andy Reid. The general idea behind a flood concept is to get more receivers into a specific area of the field than defenders. Teams can use this concept to attack short, intermediate, or deep as well as the middle of the field or to the boundary.
The Simplest Play Call That Often Works on Third and Long for the Chiefs
This may come as a surprise to some who have been blessed to watch Patrick Mahomes play quarterback over the last few years, but there really aren’t many great play calls for third and 15+. It’s actually quite difficult to find a concept that will work while also being able to execute such a play. After all, defenses are likely looking to drop into deep zones to keep the play in front of them while having plenty of space to force a fourth down (and likely a punt). It’s an obvious pass down where a gain of 10 yards probably doesn’t do much in the way of facilitating a decision on whether or not to surrender the ball to the opposing team. It’s a challenge.
