Only Weird Games: Joshua Brisco, Seth Keysor and ESPN’s Nate Taylor raved about Josh Simmons being the first left tackle on the depth chart to begin camp in their first episode. Later in the week, they went over the biggest training camp positional battles the Chiefs have in St. Joe.
KC Laboratory: Matt Lane and Kent Swanson kicked off the week by breaking down the 4-year contract extension the Chiefs handed out to defensive end George Karlaftis before ranking their top 10 wide receivers. With Craig Stout joining them later in the week, they too discussed the Simmons hype before wrapping up their lessons learned series, taking a deep dive on the week 10 matchup against the Denver Broncos. They also continued their positional ranking series, ranking the top 10 offensive tackles in the NFL.
That Football Show: On their end-of-week show, Matt Verdarame and Tucker Franklin discussed how thin the Chiefs are at wide receiver with the Rashee Rice suspension looming. On Wednesday of this week, they tried to relay what actually does and does not matter when you hear news coming out of training camp.
