Kansas Jayhawks coverage at KCSN
Nick Springer and Kevin Flaherty discuss Andy Kotelnicki's return to KU football, what it could mean for the Jayhawk offense, players KU retained from the transfer portal, portal losses, and what's next as the team begins to build for 2026.
Kotelnicki was brought back to serve as Kansas’ Associate Head coach after spending the past two seasons at Penn State. Before joining the Nittany Lions, Kotelnicki served as the Jayhawks' offensive coordinator from 2021 to 2023, guiding the offense to back-to-back bowl appearances for the second time in school history. In both 2022 and 2023, KU’s offense averaged nearly 35 points per game.
Nick Springer and Kevin Flaherty react to Kansas basketball's first conference game of 2026 against the UCF Knights. The team breaks down Darryn Peterson, discusses big plays, and highlights key moments.
Peterson led the team in scoring with 26 points, going 8-of-17 from the field, but it was not enough as Kansas (10-4) lost to UCF (12-1), 81-75. Flory Bidunga and Tre White combined for 20 rebounds in the Jayhawks 0-1 start to Big 12 play.
KCSN’s coverage on the Kansas Jayhawks is featured by the weekly podcast, “Pay Heed,” hosted by Kevin Flaherty and Nick Springer.
Both Flaherty and Springer are credentialed media who will often be in Lawrence covering the Jayhawks’ football and basketball programs in person.
