Royals coverage at KCSN
Joel Penfield reacts to the Kansas City Royals finally getting going offensively against the Texas Rangers, whether it's sustainable, and Salvador Perez going off.
With the win on Tuesday evening over the Rangers (36-37), the Royals (35-38) snapped a six-game losing streak. The offense got going by Perez racking up two homers and a double and Bobby Whitt Jr. blasting a long ball as well. Starting pitcher Seth Lugo did his part, allowing one run and striking out six across six innings.
Joel Penfield breaks down a disappointing home stand for the Royals as the boys in blue get swept by the Athletics. Joel discusses what the players-only meeting means, and how the team can get out of this slump.
The Kansas City Royals (34-38) have now dropped six straight, including eight of their last nine ball games by the hands of the Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees and Athletics. Seth Lugo and his 3.18 ERA will attempt to play stopper heading into a series against the Texas Rangers (36-36) after a much needed day off on Monday.
